About Us
Dr. Russell D. Springer has practiced optometry for over 10 years. As a University of Georgia graduate in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree, he went on to obtain his Doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1997. He has earned a reputation for great professional knowledge and skill by his peers and patients. To enhance his skills and scope of practice, he constantly seeks to improve his efficiency and knowledge of eye care procedures and new technologies.
Mary Jill Springer, Dr. Springer’s wife, is the Office Manager. She is a 1993 graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is the driving force to make the most of every opportunity and to make the best even better. To assure our practice and products are the most comprehensive and up-to-date,
she monitors societal trends, eyewear styles, technology growth and improvements, health insurance policies,
and procedures.
Christie Pineda is our Optometric and Contact Lens Technician. She has been in this field for over seven years and offers a plethora of knowledge in assisting Dr. Springer and patients. She is very resourceful in finding the proper contact lens for those “hard-to-fit” contact lens wearers.
Ansley Irvin is our Eyewear Consultant. A 2003 Cum Laude graduate from State University of West Georgia with a degree in Political Science, she has excellent communication and customer service skills. She works closely with each patient to determine the appropriate lenses and eyewear to best suit their needs and lifestyle.
Heidi Tweedell is a Customer Service Representative from Arnoldsville. She will assist you to schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assure a pleasant check-in to our office. Always helpful, positive and constantly determined to find an answer to any question, she is a sheer delight.
Chrissy Harvin is a Customer Service Representative. A 2000 graduate from Clemson University with a degree in Psychology, she is a pleasure to work with when scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, checking-in, and checking-out at our office. She is very helpful and always a team player.
